The Main Protagonist, the Wild Card, Gio is the former King of Hearts whom fell from grace four years prior. Instead of losing his powers he instead gained new ones, becoming capable of using the abilities of other Espers. A somewhat sarcastic, lazy individual, whom at his core is kind and will fight for what is right.

Sera Noel

Height: 5’6″ | Weight: 115 lbs
Ability: N/A
The Deuteragonist, Partner to the Wild Card, Sera is a returning citizen of New Eden having been away for nearly ten years living with her mother. She met Gio on her first day back in the city and inserted herself into his life as his business partner and manager. She is very passionate, outspoken, and not afraid to leap into conflict.

Leon Kruger
Age: 24 | Male
Hair: Orange | Eyes: Hazel
Height: 6’0″ | Weight: 195 lbs
Ability: Leonhardt
The Tritagonist, King of Spades, Leon is a prominent figure of New Eden that became a King at the same time as Gio, his childhood friend, seven years ago. After Gio’s fall from grace, Leon found him and kept his survival hidden from the Houses. Leon is kind, typically soft spoken, and fiercely loyal. Willing to do anything for his friends.

Victor Maximus Ferris

Ability: Adamant Charge
The apparent Antagonist, King of Diamonds, Victor is hailed as the most powerful Esper in New Eden. He is the longest reigning King in the city’s history at sixty years and as such loves his home above all else. His personality is defined by his noble actions and professionalism, as well as his passion to do what is just no matter the cost. Because of his desire to protect his home, he clashes with Gio and plots to stop him from causing more harm.

Kenny ‘Ken’ Davis Blume
Age: 35 | Male
Hair:  Light Brown | Eyes: Blue
Height: 6’6″ | Weight: 255 lbs
Ability: The Reaper
The King of Clubs, Kenny is currently the second-longest reigning King at fifteen years. At times the exact opposite of what a King should be, Ken is lazy, carefree, and entirely too silly. His muscular demeanor suggests he loves physical activity, enjoying spars and combat with a smile. Hailed as having the highest offensive power in New Eden. His pride and joy is his daughter, Clare. Much like Leon he has helped Giotto on numerous occasions.

Rose Kristina Jalice

Ability: Red Rose
The King of Hearts, Adoptive Daughter of Victor Ferris, Rose is the newest addition to the Kings of New Eden. She replaced Giotto after winning a tournament to crown the new King two years ago. Her formerly timid nature continues to dominate her around her father, but as a King she has become commanding and confident in her position. Wishes death upon Giotto, channeling her father’s hatred as her own. Has never taken the family name Ferris, not yet feeling worthy.

Katharine ‘Kat’ Rowena Atwood
Age: 17 | Female
Hair: Light Brown | Eyes: Blue
Height: 5’2″ | Weight: 108 lbs
Ability: The Creationist
Ocho Rank of Spades, Kat is one of Leon’s more trusted Housemates. Her ability is regarded as legendary, potentially one-of-a-kind, with the need for it to be nurtured and to grow. Despite her anxious and ditsy persona, she strives to help others. She is never far from a book or her own journal to write in. Has fallen head over heels for Leon and while unable to confess, tends to follow him around in hopes of gaining the courage to do so. Leon begins to push her towards Giotto in an attempt to help expand her own world.

Jay Derek Willow
Age: 18 | Male
Hair: Black | Eyes: Blue
Height: 6’0″ | Weight: 225 lbs
Ability: Shadow Walker
Septem Rank of Hearts, Jay is the former pupil of Giotto and one of the strongest hand-to-hand combat specialists in New Eden. Has a strong sense of justice, drawn from the superheroes he reads about. Has thought of Gio as a superhero and strived to be like him. Employs various wrestling and action hero moves in his combat. Tends to act on his emotions rather than thinking things through.

Lenna Vermillion
Age: 28 | Female
Hair: Blond | Eyes: Dark Green
Height: 5’9″ | Weight: 122 lbs
Ability: Vorpal Knight
Queen of Clubs, Lenna is defined by her readiness to assist her King, Kenny, and the lengths she goes to for both him and her House. Typically seen as cold, stern, and incredibly efficient both on and off the battlefield. Has the power to become a King herself, but she remains in Clubs to be with Kenny and his daughter, Clare, whom she is extremely fond of and shows childlike affection towards. Lenna shows the same affection towards Sera, Giotto’s partner.

Richard ‘Ridge’ Roberts

Owner & Barkeep of Ridge’s Bar, Ridge is a family friend to Giotto, Leon, and Faye, having known them since they were born. While not an Esper, Ridge has very good insight into various matters and uses his own wisdom to help others find their way. Has many city connections, both respectable and not. Kind, caring, and an Uncle/surrogate father to Giotto and Leon.

Clarissa ‘Clare’ Blume

Daughter to King of Clubs Kenny, Clare is a sweet, innocent child, whom sees the world through eyes that seek both truth and beauty. She and her father are incredibly passionate, close. Both typically incorporate heavy melodrama into their daily lives for laughs. Her mother, Natalie Blume, died during childbirth. Clare calls Giotto her Uncle, knowing him her entire life, while she has recently begun calling Sera ‘Aunty’ after just meeting her.

Formerly Queen of Hearts, Wife to Giotto, Faye was married to Giotto and was the childhood friend of both him and Leon. Four years prior to the story she passed away during Gio’s Fall from Grace. Witty, smart, and playful, Faye was always warm. She kept both Gio and Leon in line before their antics got them into too much trouble. Part of the ultimate team in New Eden, alongside her husband, known as ‘Blue Crimson.’
